FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER

The Family Nurse Practitioner is primarily responsible for providing medical services to patients of Livingston Community Health.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Current valid license to practice medicine in California and DEA registration.
     

  2. Graduation from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner school.
     

  3. Working experience in the practice of medicine as Family Nurse Practitioner. 
     

  4. Current BLS and ACLS Certification.
     

  5. Interest in practicing in a non-profit community clinic setting.

Essential Functions:

  1. Delivers direct patient care for at least 40 hours during a normal workweek and documents clinical notes.
     

  2. Adheres to a minimum standard of 6,200 encounters annually, equivalent to 24 patients per day in an 8 hour day, 30 patients per day in a 10 hour day, 36 patient per day in a 12 hour day. 
     

  3. Responsible for the demonstration and utilization of the highest standards of medical ethics at all times.
     

  4. Participates in clinical policy and procedural development.
     

  5. Attends all Staff and Continuous Quality Improvement Meetings.
     

  6. Provides Saturday coverage as needed, at least once a month.
     

  7. Observe all Livingston Community Health protocols and policies.
     

  8. Shares on-call with other clinicians.
     

  9. Completes documentation within 24 hours of visit, labs signed day received, and paperwork signed twice per week.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

​This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely communicates verbally and on a face to face basis with others.

Typical Physical Demands:

Requires standing/walking for up to 30% to 60% at a time, sitting for up to 30% to 60% at a time, lifting and carrying 0% to 20% at a time, lifting or carrying of up to 40 pounds 0% to 5% at a time, reaching 30% to 70 % at a time, bending and stooping 30% to 80 % at a time, squatting/crouching 5% to 15 % at a time, handling/grasping 25% to 80% at a time.

Travel is primarily locally during the business day.
